that Brother Charley Hughes is retiring. Brother Charley has supported the union
for over 32 years, he's held many leadership position including, but not limited
to LL 2768 President. We've all benefitted from Charley's loyalty and
experience, he leaves with an impressive record of leadership and is a friend
who will be truly missed. We wish Charley the best and continued success into
his retirement.

the picture to enlarge May 22 2008 Our own sister Sara Skinner retired last month
after serving many years as our secretary treasurer. Sara was renowned on the
local level, district level and at the international for performing her duties
with penny accuracy and on time audits year after year. Sara's reputation
precedes her for being ultra conservative and sound financial advice in the name
of and betterment of our union. Her concern for our members' well being - and
dedication to union principles are impossible to replace and we'll miss you
sister. Have a happy retirement, you earned it!

Gloria Ramon a happy retirement. Gloria has been a dedicated member since her
hire in 1987. She was happy to tell us the story when she first started working
at our facility, that she looked for the people who could sign her up for
joining the Union right away. Gloria will be greatly missed as a hard worker who
could always "get the job done" and equally loyal friend.

Contract Vote Ratified! 9-29-07
75 percent of the membership voted to ratify the contract proposal today.
Highlights of the proposal are an 11 percent G.W.I. increase
over 3 years. Medical insurance costs contained for 2 years and a new plan has
been introduced that would increase savings even more. Dual pension benefits
equal to 77 percent in 2009. $1000.00 and $500.00 bonus in 2007 and 2008

negotiations.
